以下、友人からのメッセージ☆
プロのロックバンドとハープの演奏者がボランティアで出演してくれて、学校の有志生徒とのコラボもあります。コンサートの周りではお弁当や飲み物 を売ったり、中古だけど、子ども向け絵本（日本語も英語も）の販売もする予定です。他にも、フェイスペイント、ヨーヨー釣りなど子どもが楽しめる アクティビティーも準備する予定で、レストランの商品券などをサイレントオークションに出品したりもします。千羽鶴を折るアクティビティーもしま す。
このイベントで集めた収益金の全ては、アメリカのコネチカット州にある Save the Children という団体によって設立された、Japan Earthquake Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund という基金に寄付することにしています。学校での寄付活動が先日、正式に認可されたところです。そして、この基金のお金は、この震災によって被 災した「子ども達」のために使われることになっています。

The event will feature vocal performances from the students of JAR, Kingbeat, a rock band, along with Star Edwards, a folk harpist who also plays Koto. Besides their performances, we are intending a used children’s book sale, a silent auction, and an origami project (Senbazuru) and more. There are also children friendly activities.
Note: The Senbazuru is a group of one thousand origami paper cranes held together by strings. It is a traditional way of showing your compassion in Japan.
We will donate all the money raised through this event to the Japan Earthquake Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund run by Save the Children. In this way, the donations raised will be specifically used for the children who were affected by this tragic earthquake that hit in Japan.
